Seafood Restaurants:

Somehow we do expect that a country surrounded water has a great seafood. Only if you like it grilled for this seems to be the only way Turkish cooks know how to prepare any kind of fish. For grilled fish go to Kumkapi, a quarter full of fish restaurants on the backside of the Sultan Ahmet hill. There are about 30-40 restaurants and they all offer fish. The area has a very nice atmosphere with all the outdoor tables. The other place to consider is Tarabya, which is a bit outside the city. It is a small bay on the European side up the Bosphorus

Cheap Eats:

The number of restaurants in Beyoglu is countless. Turkish food is a great experience and you can find plenty of quality yet moderately priced food there. Feeling homesick? You would be able to find a Big mac there as well/

Baked Potatoes

What can I say? Baked potatoes are baked potatoes. Can’t be bad. Address: Fish Market

Bon apetit, good luck and have a wonderful time in Istanbul!
